Registration

Registration for CoLang 2024 is now closed! We have reached capacity. Thank you everyone for registering — looking forward to seeing you all in June! Please contact colang2024@gmail.com with any questions.

Late Registration (closed)

Late registration will be open through May 15th, 2024. Please note that housing and meal plans will be not be available after April 30th, 2024 as reservations with ASU will need to be finalized at that time. If you register after April 30th, you will have to arrange your own housing and meals. 

Space is limited and late registration will close when we reach capacity. Any registrations that come in after our participant capacity is reached will be refunded in full.

The registration is reached the capacity. Please be advised that there is no onsite registration.

General Registration (closed)

Registration will be handled through an online portal. In the portal, you will be prompted to provide information, select options, and pay fees. 

There are two registration options for CoLang 2024. You will be asked to select one at the beginning of the registration process:

If you need to change your registration type (e.g., from the two-week session to the four-week session), you will need to open a new registration page and start the process over.

Once you complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number from an ASU email address (if you don't receive this email right away, check your spam folder). 

Registered participants will be sent an email with instructions for selecting their workshops after general registration closes.

Participant letters of invitation and eligibility to enter the USA

Please be aware of the requirements for entry into the USA for your nationality, and that you are eligible to do so. This minimally requires that you have a valid passport with 3-6 months before expiration, but it may also involve acquiring a visa. It will also likely require you to complete the Electronic System for Travel Authorization process. We are happy to provide you with a personalized participant letter to support your entry to the USA to attend CoLang. Please email us with your details, and we'll work with you to create that letter. 

Cancellation Policy

If you choose to cancel your participation at CoLang before April 30, 2024, you will be refunded 100% of money paid through registration. If you cancel after April 30, 2024, you will be refunded your registration fee only. This is to cover the costs incurred by the coordination of registrants’ housing and meal plans. If we, the directors of CoLang 2024, cancel CoLang 2024, you will be refunded 100% of money paid through registration.

Cost of Attendance

Registration

There are two options for attending CoLang 2024:

General registration fee: $1100

Indigenous participant registration fee: $850

General registration fee: $1650

Indigenous participant registration fee: $1275

CoLang 2024 is pleased to offer a discounted registration fee for participants from Indigenous communities. If you have questions about discounted registration, please contact the CoLang organizers at colang2024@gmail.com.

Housing 

The cost of housing is not included in the registration fee. Participants may choose from the following options, or choose to make their own off-campus housing arrangements:

Double dorm room @ ASU: $725

Single dorm room @ ASU: $1250 

Dorm housing will be at Tooker House on ASU's Tempe campus. 

Dorm check-in will take place from 6/1-6/2. If you will be arriving in Phoenix before 7am or after 8pm, please email the organizers at colang2024@gmail.com to make arrangements for early / late check-in. 

Check-out for workshop-only participants will be 6/15. For those staying on for the practica session, check-out will be 6/16.

Note: Dorm room reservations are subject to available space. 

CoLang group rate at Courtyard Marriott Scottsdale Salt River: $119/night (single king or double queen room)

Note: If you choose to make your own off-campus housing arrangements, you will also be responsible for your own transportation to and from CoLang sessions. 

Meals

The cost of meals is not included in the registration fee. Participants may purchase a meal plan for an additional charge:

Meal plan @ ASU (3 meals per day, 5 days per week): $360

Meal plan @ SCC (2 meals per day, 5 days per week): $360

Travel

Travel costs are not included in any of the above listed fees. Participants must make their own travel arrangements.
